Serbia Law Firm Marketing Article

Your law firm might be the best in its field, but unless that message hits home with potential new clients, that expertise is lost to them, and these potential clients are lost to you.

There are a number of ways a firm traditionally receives new business. Referrals or word or mouth, location, conferences, listings with the embassy are some examples.

Since Tim Berners Lee wrote his global hypertext project proposal in 1989, however, the internet has become the most influential way for a small business to leap ahead of its deep pocketed global competitors.

Your law firm is no different - if you have decent legal products and are confident that the client will be impressed with the level of legal service on offer, then it is important that the message reaches him or her - and the online internet marketing can help you achieve that.

For Serbian law firms, in particular, experiencing the rapid growth of the region as a magnet for foreign investors, the internet can send a powerful message to new business entrants into the legal services market, whether private equity or corporate clients, seeking their first contact with the region through trusted professional retainers.

A non-affiliated Serbia-based law firm can demonstrate that it is capable and competent - even more so than its more established regional competitors, simply by having a competent, imaginative product which is visible to the client and inspires confidence and trust.

Government of Serbia Press Release

Main Investors in Serbia are Diaspora

Leskovac 9 August 2007 About three-fourths of investments in Serbia are either directly of indirectly linked to Serbs in the diaspora, said Minister for the Diaspora Milica Čubrilo.

Čubrilo said that Serbia receives over EUR 3bn yearly from Serbs that work outside of the country and send money to their families in Serbia. Many foreign companies operating in Serbia and companies participating in privatization and Greenfield investments, have “a Serb somewhere,” working in the company, who convinced colleagues that Serbia is the right place to invest.

“That is a figure that represents the second largest inflow of foreign currency supply to the country,” Čubrilo said.
